How to open .gameproj files

So I went to a programming camp for a few weeks last year and made some games with gamesalad. I haven't been able to open them because of the whole mac-windows incompatibility thing, which I understand has been resolved. So now I'm trying to open these folders(1) with a bunch of components of the games(2) that all have .gameproj at the end of them. They can't be opened in GS and there is now actual single file with a .gameproj name. Anyone know whats up with this?

The way i do it is to make a new project in gamesalad and save it, it dont matter if its blank, then copy the file from that folder to the folder you can open ( the file that you press to open the project

Project files and templates do work cross platform. Simply create a blank file in the project folder and give it a .gsproj extension. Clicking this will open the project in the Creator for Windows.

If you are just wanting to explore the project files on a Mac, Right click on the file and click "show Package Contents" and it will open all the files. This is only really good if you are wanting to grab all your images and a few other things.

Darren over at http://www.deepblueapps.com/ has some really good tools to transfer .gameproj templates between Windows and Mac.
