GameSalad crash - corrupted game file

I set up seven layers with thirty total actors. Some actors interpolated the rotation or alpha of actors on other layers. I then changed the order of two of the layers. All edits to actors were accessed via double-clicking their names within their layers (I had also renamed two of the actors within the layers).

After reordering the layers, I was no longer able to access editing of the actor making changes in actors in other layers, either through double-clicking the instance on the stage, or the name of the actor within the layer.

Closed and reopened. Same problem. I assumed the file was corrupted, but after deleting that actor, I was (for now anyway) able to replace the actor and start over with it's coding.

Known bug? Any thoughts? Can I reorder layers after cross-referencing between them?

(edited to reflect actor replacement fix)
