My first GS outing at the app store!

Hi guys. Just thought I'd pass on the news that "Sujiko" - a puzzle-based game, and my first GS creation - is now available via the app store. If you're a number puzzle person, why not take a look? If you do, any and all feedback will be much appreciated! In the next few days, I'm hoping that "Suko" (a variant) will also be available...

Will now be busy for a while, doing my happy chicken dance...
:)

Congrats on getting your first project out to the world!

Thanks, Braydon. I've had a lot of fun building with GS, but I have to say that the community aspect - the tips, advice and other help offered and provided by fellow Saladites here, on youtube, and elsewhere - were invaluable. Thanks, people!

Great job! I just published my first full game as well and it's a good feeling to actually complete something and go through the whole process.

Congrats! My first reaction, though, is that for $1.99, I'd expect more than a single screenshot and a fuller description. I'm eager to play the game and might give it a try for $0.99. (I know, we developers are just as cheap as the general public! :()

Cheers, Jamie - it really is a good feeling, right? Thanks also to you, Tatiang. I felt the single screenshot was enough as each puzzle looks the same (I thought a shot of the "Congratulations!" screen was superfluous), and the description may have been brief, but it really is a simple puzzle - simple, but fun to play. As for the price : I guess it's a matter of "each to his own". If I'm way off base with the $1.99 (£1.49) price, I'm sure I'll find out pretty quickly! Thanks again for the feedback - all greatly appreciated. :)

And I'm not saying $1.99 isn't the right price, just that I couldn't figure out from looking/reading if it was worth that. Hopefully people buy it in droves!

    Thanks for that, wolfbird.

I'd just like to add to this thread by saying that my second app (fair enough, it's in the same format, and is a variant on the first), "Suko", is now available from the App Store.

Both of these puzzles have millions of players around the world in print form, in newspapers and magazines, but it was fun (frustrating fun!) to bring them to life in this new format. Now, though, I'm going to try my hand at something a bit more 'game-like'... wish me luck!

    :)

Hi! Just a recommendation, if this is ur first app. make it free to the general public at first to give them a fell of how good of a developer you are, if you get 1000+ downloads this means you are quite successful and should start making more apps and make them paid!

This is just a recommendation, congratz and goodluck in the future buddy!

Thanks for the feedback, illest : I had considered that, but times are hard, and every penny counts, right? Who knows what the future will bring though... :)

:) Sales for 'Sujiko' and 'Suko' have so far come in from the UK, US and South Africa! Thanks, again, to GS and all of you who form part of this self-supporting community.
