Xcode and ad-hoc deployment (overview)

Hi Folks, I'm a newbie, and can't find the answer on previous threads, so would be great if I could get a simple overview on this issue.
I have xcode and a developer licence and have previously put a simple app from xcode onto my iPhone. Once you've done it once, xcode does a lot of the work for you.
1) Can I get my Gamesalad game direct into xcode so that I can then deploy it to my own phone?
2) If I can't do the above, if I follow the guides to download the GS Viewer - does this go onto my iphone, or give me a template in xcode that acts like a sort of plugin for the GS Salad code.
3) If it dosen't work like in 1) and 2) do I have to first load the GS Viewer onto my phone, then publish to GS to get a file sent back to me? that I upload into xcode to then deploy?
4) If I then publish to the iPhone market, how do buyers without the GS viewer see the games?
Apologies if the questions are a bit simple, I tend to bungle my way through and having an overview of the correct path will help greatly.
thank you so much in advance.
Regards
