"You are not authorized to access that resource" Windows Publishing Bug [Merged Threads]

Hey everyone,

I have uploaded my Gamesalad project to my portfolio. When I am given the option to choose a platform for my app, I click Windows 8, but whenever I do that, I receive this error: "You are not authorized to access that resource". What can I do to fix this?

    go pro if you don't have a pro account

    Oh. So I have to pay $299/year just to publish Windows 8 apps? Is there any other way I can get my GameSalad project to a .appxupload file?

    nope, windows 8 publishing is a Pro only feature.

    If only Microsoft clearly labeled that on their website before I clicked on it...

    I can agree that it would suck to be that position.
    But I would take your shiny new app (polish it if its not shiny) and release to iOS.

    You could turn this bump in the road into funding its expansion...
    If you can make the $500 or so dollars needed to go Pro and get dev licenses from the platform that is available to you, when you go pro and release to all the various android markets, win8, mac desktop, nook, kindle you should really be making lemonade then.

    so its not just me only... i thought GS terminated my membership.. i still have got 9 moths to go before expiry..

    me neither. When i tried to publish an app, the website showed my portfolio along with "You are not authorized to access to this resource" at the top. It was supposed to show the selection screen, on which, I can create a new game or update an existing one.

    I have tried the same scenario with 0.11.0.13, 0.11.1.5 on MAC and 0.10.4.1 on Windows 8.1. I think that this is a web application problem, not related to Creator software.

    @siezma dont open a new thread, there is about 4 open already. Please submit a ticket to support this is a GS server issue and not related to creator version

    This seems to be a bug with an update to the website. I have a pro account, was able to publish as recently as last week, and now it fails with the same message that the OP sees.

    Please give it another shot, I made an update last night to improve page loading significantly, but I missed one of the changes necessary (and for some reason it worked fine on my testing).

    @ADENT42 Still got the same problems. "You are not authorized to access that resource." and also i cannot update the icon on the publishing page for any of my apps
