Windows Manual

It is really too bad when an interesting piece of software that has great educational possibilities is shot down by out-of-date documentation. I am trying to work through the Windows version of the Creator manual. The manual does not match the software, which for a stubborn adult, is only an annoyance. For a teacher trying to use the documentation in a high school classroom it is a killer. I was going to have some of my advanced kids tinker around with GameSalad but it is just not worth the trouble. The company needs to hire someone to keep the documentation up-to-date.

Having said that, I'm not a licensed professor but I already have experience handling a 4th year high school class and teaching them introduction to programming using GS and it wasn't all that troublesome. We didn't have enough Macs in the university so we had to settle with the Windows version as well, but we were able to make do with just the CookBook, actually.
The differences between the two versions of Creator are minimal and I suggest working with them in class and possibly creating your own simple handouts, just so you and your students are always on the same page. GS is such a fun tool to use for teaching programming to children, and you might be surprised at how much self-study your students might have already done come the end of the term/year
