I shot that with an Olympus e-pl2. My daughter dabbles in photography and I have been wanting to test out the video capabilities on that thing for awhile now.

Thanks guys. We seem to be selling just over 100+ per day (across ios, Amazon, Android, etc). We are going to be releasing the free version hopefully next week, so we are excited to see how that will drive up the sales.
@wpaten no problem. I have 5 little ones (4 of which play games) and I can see them really liking this. I just began work on a children's game as well so I will let you know how it goes.

How are sales?
Sales are good. Across all the markets we consistently sell just over 100 units per day. On Saturday and Sunday it rises to 150-200. We are waiting for the free version on ios to be released so those numbers should rise (hopefully dramatically), when that happens.
I would definitely like to see your game when it is released.
@sawkastee I don't mind sharing. :-) Typically on average for every 100 that I sell of a specific app, 50 of those are from IOS (Tizzy Drive is a Universal app so that's for both iphone and ipad combined), 25-35 will be from amazon, and whatever is left will be from the rest of the piddly android accounts (Google Play, Nook, etc). So for yesterday (Sunday), my numbers were:
Those numbers are pretty cut and dry what I expect each weekday and weekend. (usually $400-ish weekday, and $550-ish weekend). Our latest app, Tizzy Driving Adventure, basically added about $85/day for the weekdays and close to $125/weekend day to our combined amounts.
And that's how I look at this kind of stuff. I am not looking to hit massive home runs that make me a million dollars per app. I'm looking for continued, sustainable (and MORE IMPORTANTLY), repeatable base hits. I plan for each app to produce between $50-$100/day for me.
@wpaten wow great numbers, I'm really impressed by your work and you are one of the reasons I decided to try out app development. I'm trying to develop a kid's app too, my first attempt will be a "cupcake maker" app. I didn't know what the heck try as my first app. I wanted to do something bigger but soon found out that I bit off more than I could do my first time. I've started the art and been laying out the basics of how the game will function in GS. Here's a sample of some of my art.
The cupcake maker theme is a proven seller. Just make sure that what you offer is:
1) Going to be unique in some way 2) Be tailored towards the kids market. Make it cute, cute, cute. 3) If you are doing this for 2-6 year old kids, stay away from in-apps. Parents hate them with a passion.

I just noticed you have 5 kids. I have 5 as well. Ranging in age from 15 to almost 2. I call them my free beta-testers. ;-)
@wpaten...AWESOME! Mine range from 7 down! My house is crazy and I am looking to do EXACTLY what you do.... Get a couple of apps that bring in some money and do artwork on the side....
Still haven't "cracked the code" so to speak yet. Would you be willing to email me sometime and we can kick around some ideas? Thanks man!

Cant beleive I missed this!, Quite a nice game for kids TBH! I must ask do you do any marketing? - In regards to your nice sale results!
Thanks. :-)
We submit to a list of about 60 review sites. We don't market outside of that.
We're at the point now where we have several apps all pointing to each other from within the game. Parents are relatively predictable. If they get an app for their kids, and their kids like it (which in turn gives the parents some peace and quiet), then we usually see them getting all of our apps. Kind of this domino effect sort of thing.
Getting to this point doesn't happen over night, but it's very, very possible.

You should also add 'Available on Google Play', rather than Android Marketplace

I would definitely like to see your game when it is released.
IOS = $318
Amazon = $169
ANDROID = $66
NOOK = $10
NABI = $6
TOTAL = $560-ish. (after everybody's 30% cut)
A normal weekday from last week (Wednesday the 6th) had these numbers:
IOS = $211
AMAZON = $136
ANDROID = $22
NOOK = $7
NABI = $7
TOTAL = $383 (after everybody's 30% cut)
