Can you not submit a Paid app without going Pro?

I was reading through the forums trying to figure out why GameSalad puts ads in front of my games without paying me, and I came across a forum that was talking about putting ads over free user's games. What I got from the forum was that free users cannot submit paid apps -- Apple will reject them because they are paid AND have ads.

I this true? I sure hope not.

I currently cant afford Pro, and I'm planning on charging $.99 for my next game and don't want to be auto-rejected and forced to change the price to Free.

This is a common question, and fortunately, the answer is YES!!

You CAN submit a paid app, at the price of your choosing, with GameSalad :)
(The deciding of whether the app is free or paid/the price is done through Apple, and GameSalad has no part in it)

    Hope this helps

    Alright, good.
So I won't be auto-rejected for being paid and having ads?

    No.
Free users have been publishing paid apps (that have ads) with GameSalad for a long time now, with no problems with Apple (although there are occasionally some reviewers that deny them for that reasons, but that's quite rare, and you can appeal!)

However, this new "GameSalad Games Network" has the ads appear in the Splash Screens, and every time the app is opened from the multitasking bar. There have been people rejected because of this system, and it will be curious to see how this works out.

    Hope this helps

GameSalad puts ads in front of your game without paying you because, you get to use their software without paying them. Pro version of course gives you the option to remove ads.

If you're worried about getting rejected for having ad's in a paid game, and they have rejected many games for that reason, you can set your game to free, and once it is approved and on the app store, you can then change the price to $.99
