    Hi @CriminalMindsFan

A software program is a tool, and although it can help to improve on a lack of experience or talent even, it won't replace these things.

What I'm saying is, if you think your art you produced using Microsoft Paint is terrible, it'll be pretty much the same whatever art or design software you'll use....

Drawing, painting, design, illustration, etc., doesn't just happen with particular software... everyone learns/is taught/practices/ these things, sometimes over many years before they can produce something worthwhile.... then there's the time needed to become competent with the software itself...

So continue to learn and practice, but if you're not prepared for the learning curve, maybe consider buying or commissioning art/graphics for your game; or if you can't afford that, find free & copyright free art from the internet.

Hire me to do your art (email gameonrevolution@gmaildotcom).... Here is my website for my artwork:

If not, GIMP is a great FREE program as well as Inkscape. If you want to pay, adobe now offers a subscription to ALL their programs for $50 a month. You get everything.

Use something that allows your artwork to be in vectors. Then you can scale and resize more easily as things change.
