I'd remove 'not updated' and 'updated' from your question - subtle things like this can influence how people look at things - I'd just go with 'which do you like, the one on the left or the one on the right'.

I prefer the one on the right.

First off i agree with @socks. Secondly i think you need to tell us what youre trying to accomplish. If your goal is to make a used universe, darker, sci fi game, than yes- the image on the right is more effective. If yoire trying to emote a more sterile, clean, sci fi world, than the one on the left is more effective. Theyre so drastically different in tone that its hard to get a bearing on whats best for the games theme.
