Bit Pad is a little toy instrument that you can make classic nes sounds with. It should be out next Thursday. I'll be back with a few promo codes when it hits the store.
Oh man, these sound are bringing back memories...killing aliens baddies, slaying dragons, stomping turtles, grabbing gravity-defiant currency, jam'n old school. Yeah. Very nice!
Hey, thanks guys. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out, and it didn't take very long to make either. It's a blast to play with. I wanted to have it where you could record 4 tracks and have them loop, but I guess that is not possible in Gamesalad. Maybe one day.
Hmmm, I haven't gotten into tables yet. This is only my second app. All I did was search and found that you could not record audio as it was being played in the app(if I understood correctly). I think I have an idea of what you are talking about though, and if it's what I am thinking it would actually suit this app better than my original idea. Is there a tutorial or somewhere you could point me to get me started? If I can get it to work like I have in mind I'll pull my binary and add this in before I release it. You got my brain thinking about a bunch of other things I can do now, haha, thanks! I'm going to get started on this first thing tomorrow.

Imagine something like an 808 / 303 or an old hardware sequencer (like one built into a keyboards) - none of that stuff could record audio . . . . but you can still program it to play your disastrous dubstep version of Jingle Bells.
A step recorder would be more like that - placing triggers into a preset grid.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was something out there, I'm sure someone's done a step recorder / sequencer (if I remember correctly).

Yes, that's exactly what I thought you meant(it was just late when I posted). I don't know why I didn't think of it before. It fits Bit Pad perfectly. Now, off to look up tables.
