New awesome animation tool!

Hi all,

I dont know if people already knew this, but there's as new peace of interesting software in development.
Just wanted to share this with the community.
Its basicly a very easy but professional animation tool to animate sprites. I saw in an interview that some really great people from the platformer game industry are working on it. currently the alpha version is for free and you can order the pro version for $25. thats no a bad deal I suppose....

Yes, but its not perfect for that yet. (No size control on export or trimming), still looks promising.

Been watching this for a few years. Waiting for them to come out of closed beta. For now Flash is all I need. Would be great if GS supported swf!

Something that I have been doing is using an animator then doing a selective screen shot in the pose I want. Then doing anything I need to with the pic in the editor of choice.

Now if there was a program where I could take a pic add "bones" to it so I could pose it, then we would have something. As of yet, I haven't found anything like that.

Never mind - Spriter does this and it has cross platform builds.
Now we are talking - getting a copy now.

After Effects pretty much does that with it's 'Puppet Tool', really straightforward to use, and obviously most decent 3D software applications have bones (with IK) which you can use on a flat/planar model and achieve much the same thing.

Also Anime Studio Pro or Debut is worth checking out (has bone rigging system)

I don't have after effects (yet, it's on my list of toys) but I did get AnimeStudio a while back for my kids. I have used it a couple times.
Either it is too simple or too complex, or I'm just missing something for it to do what I want. More than likely the later.
I found DAZ to be easier to use than AnimeStudio - go figure.
