Can I refund an app sale to a customer?

Hi... I'm finding some people who say they can't run my iPad app... Not sure why, still looking into it... but this brings up a good question: is there any mechanism for refunding a customer from the development (Itunes Connect/Google Play Dev) side?

Yes, I know "all sales are final"... but that's not always the best business practice.

Any help on iTunes or Google play would be interesting....

Thanks...

No, only Apple can do this.

Yeah that sales and refund policy is pretty cut and dry (even for functionality). The only method is if a customer reports a problem in their itunes account and specifies that they inadvertently purchased something they did not want, however that is usually only via a one time exception.

Yeah, in 2 years and 4 apps on the store, I've never had a return. But from the way it's stated, the purchaser has to contact Apple, and they will refund their money, and it all comes out of your end. Apple does not refund their 30% take on the original sale, they will just deduct the total price from your account.

Even though it's never happened to my knowledge, if you sold 10 copies of your game, and all 10 people wanted a refund. Apple would refund them their money, and you would be in debt to Apple by $3, because they will not refund their 30% take. That's some Sopranos gangster type stuff there, but like I said, I have never heard of anything like that happening before.

Hmm, yeah, thats kind of what I thought... I have have two different people who claim they can't run one of my GameSalad apps on their iPad.... But the app passed Apple testing, it runs fine on my own iPad (even purchased it myself to make sure) and I've had over 100 other purchases with no complaints... I told them both to reboot their iPad and make sure they're running the latest version of iOS.... Not sure what else I can recommend...

What do you all do in situations like this?
