I'm happy to announce the completion of my latest game 'Spooky Manor'!
Unfortunately it's too late for xmas so a mid-January release seems likely, but in the meantime I thought I'd share a little teaser video I've put together:
This looks like it has a lot of potential as long as you stick at it and take the time to finish this properly.. Let me give you a perfect example of a point and click game to look at. The Lost City, by @Firemaplegames
This game took over a year to complete, and you can tell that when you play it. The game has also made a TON of money. So before you look to release this, ask yourself wether or not you think your game has the potential to do as well as that game has done, or even if it is polished enough that you would really stick at it and play it through. Not to pull away from your game at all, but I constantly see half done games around here that look like they have so much potential, but the developer rushes them either to meet a deadline or so they can get some money quicker. You don't know how many deadlines I missed before I finally released Project Boom.. Anyway, I normally wouldn't take the time out to write this, but your game looks good enough that I thought I had to. So take this as a compliment to your work
I look forward to seeing the final product and if you need a beta tester, just let me know
For me this announce is like christmas gift I am big fan of Mystery Lighthouse 1,2 & Cool quest. I am so much excited to play this next big hit. You games are so much addicted.
@GSHelper Yes its true Lost City & grisly manor by @Firemaplegames are truly awesome game. They did great job. If you play previous digi-chain games you realize that they use their own graphic style.

+1 Well said This message put as sticky for all developers.
@creativeapps - it's great to hear you're looking forward to it. You won't be disappointed, its definitely a step up from the Mystery Lighthouse games.
@GSHelper - thanks for the advice. I agree, people do tend to rush games out and often it leads to buggy products, adventure games in particular are plagued with disappearing inventory items!... but 'Spooky Manor' has had a thorough play testing so hopefully all bugs have been ironed out! Visually its very much in the watercolour-painted style of my previous Mystery Lighthouse games but with more animation, better sound design and less load points (if the new engine was here there would be none!) As always there's a balance between polishing-up and just getting the job done. Hopefully I've got it right, otherwise we could all end up doing a Brian Wilson and spending 30 years on our current project!
Cheers

Hi @Digi-chain I really like the look of this! Fun graphics, sense of humour, looks fun to play; neat way of showing inventory items, etc. Best of luck with sales. :-)
PS Full marks for finishing the project! (Wish I could say the same for myself....but just wait....next year.... ;-) )
@8bitninja - cheers, and yes Maniac Mansion was a big inspiration on the style and locations.
@gsrockz123 - it's on the Amazon and Google Play stores and I haven't had any negative feedback regarding crashes etc. The customer reviews overall have been great. I can't say for certainty though as I haven't run it on the nexus 10.
@Digi-chain wow its amazing. Downloading it. Wish you good luck with the sales. I am ready to purchase $10 game but only I want title Digi-Chain Games.
I bought it on android, rated it and commented in swedish. The translation of the description is as always funny, but I have seen worse I got stuck 2-3 times but all in all a fun and good game, I enjoyed it. Cheers!
Cheers for the good vibes guys. If you've bought it and enjoyed it please consider leaving a favourable review - hopefully a few good reviews will help it climb the charts a little!
@digi-chain i must say that i'm quite impressed with your work. I recently bought spooky manor and the lighthouse game. Love them! You've really managed to make a very accessible Myst-Old lucasarts type game(s) hybrid. There is a wonderful intuitiveness to it all and a simplistic, yet engaging experience in your work. Really nice job. My only suggestion is to add another arrow on your inventory so you can go backwards as well. Having to cycle through inventory because you missed an object can be slightly cumbersome. Other than that TINY suggestion, really impressive stuff. You've got a fan here!
@anatomyofdreams - thanks, and yes you have a good point with the inventory arrow. No one else has mentioned that before, and I originally made it that way because I couldn't figure how to make it work cycling in both directions, but have figured out how to do it now. This is definitely something I'll think about adding for future games! Cheers

Hi @Digi-chain I've taken JWLW3A3MM3X4; much appreciated! I look forward to playing this, it looks mighty entertaining; and I'll leave a review for you. :-)
@Digi-chain Thanks for the video But I do not want that. This is the fun part of this type of game that you are stuck and try different solutions and finally you got that. Going with walkthrough is like wasting $0.99.
Hows your sales going?
