Game Salad Windows showing blank actors, etc

I am attempting to get Game Salad now working on my Windows 8 machine but when I go into the scenes, even though I can see the actor placeholders, there is nothing being displayed. Any suggestions please, I want to develop using my laptop rather than Mac Mini. I can distribute via my Mac thereafter the editing/creating has been completed.

    any one please, this is making me look elsewhere for an alternative solution (which I really don't want to)
