Hi guys, as some of you might know, I had an apps section on my writing website (still there at the moment, press Apps button at bottom of first page, if interested to see: http://davidgriffinauthor.co.uk )

But I thought: with my constant wish to "get my act together" concerning apps made with GameSalad, I intend to be releasing at least one new (small) app every month/month and a half starting soon, (there's a minimum of 4 small ones first) then the larger apps to follow; I fully intend to get into top gear really soon.... so a dedicated website will be needed for certain.

So here it is, there's a lot more to be done yet but it'll give you a good idea of the final ambience of it:

Hope you like it; any comments/constructive crits appreciated as always, although don't be too harsh, it's the equivalent of a first draft at the moment... :-)

I like how it slides around - very cool!

Yes, it's good, I agree! I can't take any credit for it though – it's part of the template... :-)

Now, get your own domain. I recommend you to use register.com I got my domain for $0.75 a year, and their website is easy to use for web forwarding. I can help you if you need.

@MindBlownApps Spot-on advice, thanks! And cheers for the offer of help, that's appreciated too... :-) although Wix are offering a free domain name for a year + reasonable monthly rates, so I'll do that early Jan.... (I want the website a bit more finished before it goes "real live"...)

Looks real neat! :) although I prefer coding for my clients, I've also taken notice of Breezi lately. It seems similar to Wix; haven't tried it yet but from the looks of it, you can come up with more beautiful sites with their builder. Maybe something you might wanna look into ;) but other than that, good job though!

I have tried webs, weebly, wix, and moonfruit and moonfruit is by far he best in my opinion, you can move anything anywhere and the items are not locked into place. You can see an example of this at my app website MindBlownApps.com and look at my logo on the Mac.

@TheMoonwalls & @GSHelper Cheers guys! @TheGabfather @MindBlownApps thanks also. :-) I have checked out the other website builder sites; each has its own merits for sure, but I particularly liked this template I found on Wix, so I'll be sticking with it I'm thinking, but thanks again. :-)

I use Weebly, but I love all these HTML5 templates on Wix - maybe it's time for change :)

Quite a nice fluent site actually David!,

the HTML5 templates were what attracted me,
I have to say that I personally never liked HTML5 for websites... I just think their a bit too flashy (Not yours - Yours is great actually) And as for wix - I find t very heavy (Not hard, But heavy) to use... I much prefer plain old HTML in text wrangler or wordpress, I Love wordpress - I can even make my own themes for that, which is wonderful!

All the best with your new site,
    Jack

Site looks good But I hate when they promote free site advertisement. It create negative impression for clients. Just like on top right corner and footer of your website.

@LeonardDeveloper Hi Jack, yes, agreed about possible clunky HTML5 graphic editors, although Wix isn't too bad...and personally I wouldn't know a quarter of what's needed if I went down the HTML route... so I'm going the easy way! Choice of HTML5 as well as it can match Flash aspects and perform nicely on devices, as you know.

Thank you! :-) I'll be adding/amending/tweaking for a few more months yet... ;-)

I so agree with you, @creativeapps although I can't blame them (Wix), as this version I used is free! But still, I fully intend to upgrade in a month with my own domain name, and that removes all the advertising, etc; to leave it as a proper standalone website. :-)

I can't believe that I put together a dedicated website for my apps almost a year ago, and this is the first time it's been updated.... what's more, it still isn't showing any apps at the moment... (and even then, when it does it'll be just the one published, the other soon to be published...but then a third one before the year is out).

But it's a step in the right direction, I guess... if you're interested in taking a peek, here's is my apps website, updated - for the first time ;-) - today (though as I say, still not finished):

Glad you like it, @BazookaTime, thanks. Hopefully you'll like it even more when I've put some proper content in there... :D
I need to update my website, I hate doing that though.
I know, it's a pain sometimes, isn't it; the ideal is to do the major stuff and get it out of the way, then only minor tweaking needed every other couple of days, or even less, I guess...:-) (I'm aiming for that... ;-) )

Hi, I know the vast majority of us have a website so apologies for this post advertising mine … but if you'd like to take a look at the website if you've never visited it before, or you haven't visited for a while, it's come on a fair bit and it might interest you.

Still needs work to it but that'll happen as I go (like most of us, I guess).

So my apps website to date is looking like this:

    Cheers, chaps. (And chapesses) :-)

Some of you might know I've changed the "trading as" name of my company so obviously I had to update my website. (Changed GameSalad Forums avatar pic as well I'm sure you've noticed....)

I still have to purchase its own domain name - I'll do that soon...

In the meantime, here's the updated apps website for interest - (if you're interested!) - hope you like it if you do check it out.

Temporary apps website address shown in my signature just below... Still a work-in-progress but then what website isn't?
