Best font to use for a game?

Hey guys! I want to find out which font you find the most attractive and usable for a game. I used a font type called "Foo" but it is not good for long phrases or sentences.

You just have to try out different ones. Font choice is import to represent the style of your game but it also must be readable. For basic reading type text stick to the basics like heilvetica and other such common text for documents.

I just discovered a font which looks very good for titles, but I haven't tested paragraphs yet. It is named Pacifico: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/pacifico

Soup of Justice is a favourite of mine. Probably not for long paragraphs, but it makes nice titles and such. :)

Do you guys always use fonts for everything? I'm just wondering if this will give a more professional look to the game? I have made the most of my buttons and text by hand but I'm not sure if that's good or bad :-?

It really depends on the theme and styling of your game.

I use fonts for just about everything, because most of the time computer rendered text and buttons will look far more professional than hand-drawn designs.
Unless you're constantly making 'doodle' themed games, I'd seriously suggest investing some time learning your way around a few good graphics programs.

It takes a wee-bit of practice, but the results are definitely worthwhile. :)
