Windows 8 App Signer trouble 'Could not find file xxxxxPFX.pfx'

Evening all, wonder if anyone has any clues about how I could get my App Singer to work to test my app in Windows 8?
I fine up to where you make your own pass key (and confirm it) then immediately use the pass key to sing the app, but then it complains straight away about not having a .pfx file. Basically, it's looking for the name that you input in the third field of the app signer, that the pdf instructions state can be anything you desire. So, if I put here mygreatgame, the App Signer would say 'Could not find the file 'mygreatgamePFX.pfx'
I tried ignoring it and going straight on to the Run in Powershell on the ps1 file, but it's not having it.
Has anyone come up against this missing pfx file and solved it? I'm pretty stumped right now!

I had a similar problem and if I remember correctly it had something to do with the Windows SDK that wasn't properly installed. Try to redownload the sdk and reinstall it.

As an update... I have found a solution! Apparently, the appx file that is being signed needs to be local on the machine. I had been running the appsigner on a file in Dropbox, and as soon as I dragged the game package to the desktop, the app signer worked.

Did you guys ever find a solution to this? I don't think @LiquidGameworks solution would work for me as I am running the AppSigner on mac via parallels, which I guess is considered locally.

Hi All, sorry for being rude and not replying back to your @'s, I didn't get notification of them for some reason.
Still insolved for me, but, tbh, not tried again either. From what I remember though, I did resort to trying everything very local, as in, on the desktop, but that still didn't work for me.
Just how many GameSalad games do we have on Windows 8 right now? Anyone know?

I had the same problem. All I had to do was run it as an administrator, and the error was resolved. Also, make sure you have all necessary Windows 8 Dev Software (Visual Studio, Win8 SDK, etc.)
