Provisioning profile not found

I have a provisioning profile that I downloaded from Apple, but when I try to publish a game with Gamesalad and sign it, I get the error message "provisioning profiles folder not found". I don't have a folder with that name. Do I create one? If so, where should I put it?

You will need Xcode, double click on the profile downloaded and it will install on the organiser of Xcode. That will be acceptable then when you download the app from gs.

Thanks. I did as you said and everything seems to have worked, except that 1) when I load the provisioning profile into Xcode the status line has the warning "Valid signing identity not found" and when I try to publish the game with Gamesalad it locates the provisioning profile, but then crashes when I try to sign the app. I've used this provisioning profile successfully with a Flash app before. No idea if the Gamesalad crash is due to the "valid signing identity not found" error or to some other problem with Gamesalad itself.

if its not valid that means there is some problem in the profile itself, when you are creating make sure the bundle is written like this com.companyname.gamename etc

    like a reverse domain name.

make the changes in the provisioning portal and re download.

open xcode> windows> organizer and drag and drop the new profile, remove all the other profiles, so there is no conflict of any sort.

    delete your game on publish.gamesalad.com

re-upload the game through GS and then it should work.

I was having similar problems yesterday and had spent over a day trying to fix it. when I followed the above method, by re installing profiles and deleting and re uploading game, it got solved.

I have the same problem. I try the method you provide. but no help.
I can see in scode-organizer my profile have this under team column="Unkown" can this be my problem ? I remember this use to be my team name.

I have checked many times the Bundle Identifier in GS and iTunes are the same.

Unknown doesn't help, it needs to be your team name, install your certificates again.

    Thank you!
But I have deleted the certificates, and downloaded the new ones. But I still have "unknow".
But I have my "iOS Team Provisioning Profile" with my team name on.

    Can't figure it out :-(

Where's the problem happening exactly? While uploading to gs?

Don't waste your time @wickedsunny. Trying to troubleshoot someone elses provisioning profile problem is futile.

T-shirts tutorial video will walk you through the whole process. He will show you how to create an App ID, provisioning profile, etc. Delete your current provisioning profile from xcode and your private keys/certificate from keychain access then watch this video. Follow it exactly.

You will know it works when you have a green checkmark in the status value of your provision profile in xcode.

Sorry to waste your time :-(
I have followed the movie to the point, but no luck so far.
I have deleted all my certificates as you wrote.
I have followed "Appendix A" in the "GameSalad Beginners Guide" book, to make certificate, and downlod the certificate.
    Still no luck.

Anyone can go through my certificates - revoke and start over ?
I can pay for the service. I could start a skype or teamviewer.

having this exact same issue. "Valid signing identity not found" following everything twice and rechecking everything twice. still no luck. Distribution is working fine, but development is crap.
