Any of you audiophiles know of a free Mac app that will do the above but as a batch process? Audacity just isn't cutting it...

Cheers!

iTunes can do it. Just click on iTunes in the Finder, click "Preferences" and go to "General" tab and click on the "Import Settings" button down towards the bottom. Even though it says it's for "When you insert a CD" it's still the general setting that anything will be converted to when you go to convert it with iTunes.

Under "Setting" click "Custom" and you can change stuff in there.

Now you can multi-select any audio files in your library, and then right click, and choose "Create mp3 version" or it will say whatever format you chose in the custom setting where it says, mp3.

Edit: Oh yeah, and there's this - http://soundconverter.en.softonic.com/mac (Awesome)

And this - http://download.cnet.com/Switch-Audio-Converter/3000-2140_4-10703967.html (free version only converts to .mp3)

Awesome thanks, SlickRick! I will try the iTunes option tomorrow, tried Switch but doesn't have the ability to change the Hz.

    Cheers
