IAP and Promocodes

My app is free to download and play level 1 and it includes a .99cent In-App purchase to unlock the rest of the levels. I am able to download the 50 promocodes that Apple provides in iTunes Connect. So my question is will the promocodes unlock the .99cent IAP in a Free App?

    @Cultureplay promo codes will not work for IAP's.. they are for paid games... consider a cheat unlock for your friends.. :P or go paid

    Thanks @kinzua ! I wonder why Apple still allows me to download the 50 free promocodes...that confused me!

    had the same problem, did u find a solution? I ended up using a service called Trophit which seems to also work well for android. Hope this helps....
