Open up the console app and search for GS, it should give you some clues

    Hi Natalie!

Did you check your bundle id for your android app? Sometimes you might have misspellings on it.

The com.gendaigames.GameSalad error 3 usually means that there was a problem with the code signing. So you may want to check that you have the correct password for your keystore file. If you haven't made a keystore file yet, you should do so first before you even attempt publishing your app for the Android.

How can you have misspelling in your bundle id? I'm having the same problem that Natalie had and I don't see where else you ever type the bundle id except in the GameSalad Publishing box titled "Android Package Name". Where else does it need to be used?

I did open up the console but didn't see anything revelatory. What should I be looking for?

GameSalad doesn't seem to acknowledge the Keystore that I set up and chose. I selected it and enter the password but then I get the Error3 message. The three items on the bottom of the screen are "green" and appear to be set up okay.

What language is your keystore / os in? Someone had an issue a few mths ago, I think android requires that your os be set to English.
  • tkullatkulla Member Posts: 64
Thanks for the reply. I checked and my Language was already set to English in the Preferences panel. Any other ideas?

Well, I got it to work. I'm not sure what made the difference but here's what I did this time:

    1) Updated my Android SDK via the terminal as instructed in the cookbook (I've done this before but it did download updates).

    2) Completed the optional step to allow shortcut commands.

    3) Created a new keystore. To mix things up, I entered a different password rather than hitting 'enter" to use the same one (my bet is on this making the difference).

Most likely it was the update. It's vital that you keep all SDKs updated. This means Xcode Apple's SDK and Android Google's SDK.

Do we need to install the motorola and the htc packages as well? Currently having a login issue with those...
