Change the seller name on the App Store

Hi,

The App Store display Giovanni Balestra as seller name but a few weeks ago I created a indie developers team and now i want do display Balza Games as seller. How can I change that?

This stuff is not my strong point, but don't you need to be a company to sell under a name like that? (and change from individual account to business account for your itunesconnect account)

no, to register a company account you need to be a registered company and we are not. We only want to display Balza Games as seller!

I went through this last year. The only way you can change the name is if you are registered as a company, you then need to fill in the form and explain why you want to change it. If you are not registered as a company you will probably get reply like this:


"Thank you for contacting Apple Developer Support regarding your Apple Developer Program account.

In reviewing your account, we have found that you are currently enrolled in the iOS Program as an Individual. As such, your Artist Name ZombiesDrule Productions may be changed only to your Seller name/your Individual name S***** E*****. Should you wish to make this change, please advise and we will assist you further.

If you are doing business as a company, we do have a process which would allow you to convert your Individual account to a Company account. Please note that, as part of the process, you may be required to provide valid business documents for your company.

If you would like to proceed with your change request to convert your Individual account to a Company account, please respond and we will be glad to further assist you."

Ok. So if I am not a registered company i can't display our name on the App Store??

Yep you have to be a formal registered company like an LLC or S corp.

most people use their name and if you really want balza games then make it a splash screen, and in the game and also use it as a meta tag when you upload the binary.

What would make you say that? My company is a registered LLC that's how I have my company name as my Apple name. This is a business and doing business under another name governments require you to register them and get a tax ID for that company. It is actually against the law to conduct business under another name without a DBA or an LLC or S corp. these are legal matters and not just some fly by night thing you can just do because you got some people together and thought up a cool name. Do the right thing and set up a company of you're serious about this. You want a name to pretend your a company but you're not a legal company without the proper paperwork so that would be a lie.

Hey guys, I sumbited a request yesterday. It was Floridagames, I wanted to change it to DEL inc, or my real name if that wasn't possible which is what I thought. Apple support actually just called me and we discussed it.
He said since it's an individual account he could simply change it to my real name right away. If I wanted DEL inc. I would have to make a switch from individual to company account. This is a free switch but you have to register as a company and provide proof of so. I decided to just do my real name and take arcticsunrise's advice and change it to my real name and then add a splash screen of DEL Inc.
