Before starting, i would like to say that do not think this was stolen from "Project Boom". It was brought up before and as soon as i posted a video people could see its not the same. But as we are already on that topic, i suggest you take a look at "Project Boom" by 'VentoraStudios' as it does look great, i have yet to play it. Thank You.
So, iv been working on this since 22nd of June 2012. Not much progress has been made since i have been away. And im also working on other projects, this is just my main one. I will be posting updates, videos, pictures, all that stuff here.
There are some graphics in the videos that you will see that i have still to change, i just made them fast. (e.g The level complete/failed)
I'll just put everything i already have showed online at this first post.

Videos
Thanks, Jamie

Good luck with Project Boom!
My 2p worth or 2c worth depending on where in the world you are.
Colours, graphics, sounds and gameplay all contribute to a game. If you need to make statements that it is NOT something else (which I do believe you) then you are already on a slippery slope and destined to a period of defending your title rather than enjoying it and its development.
The best thing to do is make your game look different and name it differently thus removing all objections or otherwise.
Taking inspiration from other titles is not a bad thing.
On that note a game written for iOS using another tool is 'Populate' which is similar and may help to further inspire your level design and for you to seek more ways to further differentiate your title in the target stores.
My take on this project is that it is somewhere between the two reference projects which is all good.
IN THE COMMERCIAL WORLD THIS IS HAPPENING TOO!!!!!!!
Words with Friends is almost identical to Scrabble but is being played more on iOS etc because they added a few features not in Scrabble from EA. i.e. Multiplayer, Facebook, HTML5 and iOS crossover, Word-O-Metter (in game), in game cheats and a different board layout. Some people hate it for that and others see it as a refresh of a great board game.
To liken this to another creative industry i.e. movies. Did you prefer 'Colour of Money' or the remake remarkably called 'Colour of Money'?, which incidentally followed the script about 90%. IMHO number two was better as the pool trickshots were better filmed/rehearsed and the acting wasn't as cardboard (pc term is dated) and the lead girl was slightly hotter :-).
As always, good luck.
