These types of apps aren't my type personally (I'd be a waste of a perfectly good promo)...but you never know with apps like these...they are total wild cards in the marketplace. Overall the app looks polished and well executed. It will be interesting to know if the market jumps on it or not. I hope they do for you.
Now if only we could do scratch and sniff apps! JK.
I think you first app food fight was stronger (but I am sure it took a lot more time than this one...it seems more complex in nature).
Here's an idea...
Do a sequel to food fight...
Basically take the game concept of Battleship...and overlay food on it. Make it different enough that you won't be accused of copyright infringement...but take your clever art design in food fight at create a 2-player game that siblings can play at one another.
Think about how the food fight concept marries with something like battleship or connect four...or boggle or something classic like that. Then throw a few twists and FX elements in there.
I'm not suggesting that is the idea to take and run with...but maybe it might spin some ideas of your own up in your head that may be more mainstream and a bit richer.
Go for the big time...push out an game that has a little more depth and character...I am sure you can...your forum posts suggest you can and your graphics eye seems to be sharp. It seems to me like you just need to get a really good concept to wrap yourself around and punch out. (I like your chef and veggie characters...I just think they need a more "headline act" to show their true colors in
Don't get me wrong...I'm all for the smaller microgames...but my recommendation is to have a stronger...more complex game out there and use the microgames as freebies to harvest gamers and to advertise your headline ones.
Some "food" for thought perhaps...keep up the good work!
Like you ideas. I've sort of got my next one in mind, and it's very different from the first two as well. It's more of a spaceship/ puzzle/ post-apocalypse type thingy that is rather detailed and large in scope. I've been thinking about it for a couple months now, but I may wait until we get Flash to see if that would be a better tool for this one.
By the way, this one, and the next are personal projects I'm doing on my own time, the first was for a client. My lively hood is not dependent on making money from iPhone apps, thank God!

If you next app uses physics...probably want to stick to GS. If its more like tickle-stones...Flash may be the right tool. But until Flash comes out...its still a big question as to what you can truly do within its app generation tool.

Chaser, I think people are a little weary of so many new apps and requests for reviews. I know I got a bit that way recently. I've tried to pay it forward, and many here have helped me with reviews of my first, but it is a bit of effort and there are getting to be a lot of apps coming out rather fast now.
A few months back when GameSalad apps were new and there weren't so many, it seemed a little easier to make the time to play and review. I don't begrudge anyone for not rating, and I appreciate synthesis being up front saying that this just didn't appeal to him so he wouldn't review. It's no big deal.
