Hey guys. We are Alchimia Studios and we have our upcoming debut game "Echoes of Aeons" to show you today. Jordan and I (Josh, AKA Natzuur on the forums) have been hard at work on this for the past 9 months doing this every day of the week to bring it to this level. The artwork is something we really wanted to emphasize and Gamesalad has been great for this. We want the world to feel alive with all kinds of movement, glows, lighting, particles and more as you can see in the video and images below. As of right now we are still in the early stages of building, but we do have a good portion of the core systems working and a bunch of art. We are looking at about 7 1/2- 8 months until release (likely by the end of February).
Jordan and I have done the artwork for this game (we are both professional artists). We also have our Composer who's done some great music for us which you can find in the video.
Gamesalad has come pretty far in the past year and it's been great to see the additions of read/write tables, a long with all of the other improvements and feature and the future is only looking brighter. The Gamesalad community has been very helpful in answering our questions and of course all the member created videos/project files have helped a ton in learning the ropes. Thanks, @tshirtbooth @Tynan @mynameisace @UtopianGames @JohnPapiomitis and so many more.
We're also running a Kickstarter, make sure to check it out and share or like if you care to. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1526780831/echoes-of-aeons

1. Did you check RAM usage already? I can see that your amazing levels with lots of animations can be pretty heavy for device - and GS has some problems with RAM management.
2. Do you use images for dialogues, or is it Display Text behavior?
Obviously we are going to be supporting only devices that will be able to handle this game, 3GS is def not supported, where as iPad1 should be able to get by. Something like a iPad2 is getting 50 fps on the most intense level without full optimization and 60 fps otherwise. We are testing and will continue to do so on, to make sure this plays the way we need it to on all the devices we want to hit. Because we are still 8 months from release we except more next-gen devices like the iphone 5 and Nexus 7 tablet to become available and we are not concerned about performance on those.
The dialogue system uses one set dialogue box that is either alpha true or not. The text is images in a table that are called upon when needed to change in a single actor. This way we can use custom fonts, not have thousands of actors, and load only one at time; keeping the ram usage a bit lower. Because a text image as a png is only a very small file size it really doesn't hurt performance, especially since the few actors we use don't require any physics. Portraits work in a similar fashion.
I'll donate you on Kickstarter
