edited July 2012 in Announce Your Game!
After months of tweaks, fixes and more late nights than I care to mention.
Our update for Nom Nom Monkey just went live on the AppStore!

We now have 35 in game achievements, Gamecenter and a heap of menu tweaks and game mechanic changes.
The file size is reduced to under 20mb (not that apple have that restriction on 3G networks anymore) and we have added a new fruit. I personally spent hundreds of hours tweaking the menus and updating almost everything I could find that didn't sit right.

Check it out! The first person to unlock the holy grail of all 35 achievements gets a free Nom Nom t-shirt and a heap* of free drinks purchased for them at the ManaBar in Brisbane (if your local, or visiting) in celebration of being that awesome.

*heap is a unit of measure used by Uninspired Productions to describe anything up to maximum value of $25. This may or may not disappoint individuals. :P

i checked up on some of your youtube videos, the production values on thsoe are excellent. but when i finaly found one with gameplaye, the jungle of doom video, i felt it was missing something. perhaps some juice. when the monkey eats the fruit his mouth doesnt move, theres no nom sound he just kinda walks back and forth and they vanish at his head. when the bomb hits him its really disjointed , theres a small explosion, and then he just snaps to the screen, it really lacks the illusion that he was blown up against the glass. I will dload and give this a play when i get off work. but from the videos i can tell you have awesome art, a decent idea. good sense of humor, (loved the gunfight video with the mellon.) but just needs a little more "juice"
heres a thread with a awesome video that may inspire. http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/comment/331220/#Comment_331220

Thanks for the honest feedback, I genuinely appreciate it.

Jungle of Doom was a video I made very early on in the build of the first release of Nom Nom Monkey. We actually have an update out now, that only just dropped live tonight.

By the time we released the app on the Appstore (September 2011), Nom Nom had a fully animated walk cycle with nomming sounds when he ate. We didn't add any shrinking animations for the fruit as it seemed to cause more problems than actually looking good. The explosion is still not exactly where I wanted it to be even in the latest release, but at the same time this is our first iPhone app and our first Gamesalad app and the core focus/goal was building an App that wasn't shoe horned as "Another Gamesalad" app.

I would be really keen to hear your feedback once you have checked out the game on your iPhone/iPad.

    Dan :D
