well, I'm using Windows for starters. I'm trying to follow a tutorial on Youtube that shows you how to use Keyboard input actor along with a Display text actor to have a user input something in the keyboard input field and it be displayed in the Display text actor. At one point you're suppose to select game.text as an attribute for the Keyboard input actor. I do that but when I come back after testing it now reads self.text instead of game.text. The tutorial is by someone named Weswog and it's titled "How to create and Save Keyboard input". I think I haven't created a game attribute correctly. I'm still not quite getting creating attributes. And, the fact this guy is using a Mac and I"m not could be a factor. I wish GameSalad had made the two operate the same. There are no expression editors with dropdown menus in Windows. You have to type the attributes in. :-( Appreciate your help.
