Publishing problem - Product identifier was not recognized

EireStudiosEireStudios Member Posts: 451
Hi guys, I'm just about to submit this problem to GameSalad because i think it may be a bug. I have been trying to publish my latest game to Apple, but when I try testing my adhoc version with my test account I keep getting this error "In-App Purchase Error, Product identifier was not recognized: orbzz2000" Everything worked fine until apple rejected my app because it didn't have the restore in-app purchase button, I then sent them the new version with the button included, then I ran into this problem and I see a few people have also encountered this problem so I deleted my in-apps, deleted the behaviors in my game and redone them all with new Product ID's and I'm still encountering the same problem here are some screenshots of Product ID's to show that they all match up fine. Does anyone have another solution to my problem before I try support?

Edit: I forgot to mention I have a version waiting for review with apple but I have a feeling that they will reject it like the other people having this problem because my adhoc version is not working

Sorry guys, I just want to bump this for anyone that missed it earlier, I just want to make sure before I submit it as a bug

I just had an in app purchase go through built on .9.94 without any problems, so I don't think it is a bug.

did you make sure you enabled inapppurchase on the version of the app in iTunes Connect?
Also, did you hit the little E when inputting the product ID? Don't do that, it's known to cause issues with IAP/GameCenter
Ya I enabled them in iTunes connect and I entered them without opening the expression editor, I don't know what the problem could be, I think I might try it with a new provisioning profile tomorrow and see what happens

@soulstealer i know this thread is very old, but did you ever figure this out? I keep getting the same error. Everything is set up correctly in itunes connect. I have logged out of my itunes account. I have set up a test user account. The product ID is copy/pasted into gamesalad so no misspelling there. I just dont understand whats going on.

@Bluemoonstudios make sure your using the current version of xcode, not a future version downloaded from the dev Center, that was my problem anyway, hope that helps mate.

Is there still a glitch/problem when using the "e" button when inputting the product ID in gamesalad?

My app was approved by apple, but when I test the in app purchasing in the "live version" of my app,....it gives me the following error: "In-App Purchase Error Product identifier was not recognized".

Not sure how it passed apple's review if there really is an error with the purchasing,...but as of this time I'm concerned that no one can purchase anything in my app.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have the exact same issue as of going live last night. I added a consumable iap. The app already has a non-consumable which has been working for months. This new iap tested fine via adhoc. Any help appreciated.

Yes,....just had the "update" version (removed all "e" functions pointing to my in-app purchase and typed them in manually). STILL have the same problem.....ERROR

Super frustrating as my app has been live for over a week with 1/3 of the app NOT WORKING because of this error.

***Originally when I was using the "e" function,....the error code specifically referenced the correct product ID. Now after manually typing the function in (and NOT using the "e"), it now referenced "....was not recognized: tableCellValue(game.inapp purchase ,2,1).

So I'm guessing that the "e" function was not an issue at all since it actually did pull the information over and referenced the product ID name???

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you!

FYI: Just noticed in the "in-App purchasing" video,....it shows column 2 (Table) to be set up as "integer" for both consumable and non-consumable content. Is this correct,.....or should it be set up using "boolean" from the dropdown list in column 2 instead??

    Thanks!

Same error, do you have a solution ?
  • ycanycan Member, PRO Posts: 207
Did you updated your Application Loader to 2.9 ? My problem began after updated App. Loader.
  • staffordsignsstaffordsigns Member, PRO Posts: 26
No, don't have any solution yet and haven't heard from anyone else regarding any suggestions.

I don't believe I was using 2.9 app loaded either time. I just upgraded my xcode (which installed app loader 2.9) yesterday.

Still stumped and don't know what else to try at this time

I'm going to delete all behaviours and create them all again.

I downloaded the new 10.4 GS beta version last night, inputted the behaviors again and submitted to apple for the 3rd time (in the off chance that 10.4 corrected the problem). Couldn't find any release notes for 10.4,....so who knows whether it had any corrections for in-app support........

the table attribute for consumables should match the variable it's filling.
  • ycanycan Member, PRO Posts: 207
It worked guys, just delete all behaviours and create them all again.

Sometimes behaviors, rules, actors can become corrupted. When I have something I know for a fact should work and doesn't I delete the rule et... And do a new one.

Okay. Bumping this because I have the same problem now.

It says: In-App Purchase Error: Product identifier was not recognizes: gold_10000

I first tried with tables, then without and without pressing the editor icon i filled in the product id.

The product id perfectly is the same as in the iTunes Connect in-app-purchase.
Digging into the forums i saw I have to check in app purchasements on iTunes Connect, but cant find that anywhere on my manage apps.... maybe thats the problem. Anyone knows where to find that?

Further on I have to say it's an AdHoc test of course, and on the In-App Purchases page of my app on iTunes Connect my one and only In-App Purchase says:

Waiting for upload (yellow dot behind it), just like my app says on iTunes connect, because I won't submit it without having the iApp working.

    Any ideas please??

@The_Gamesalad_Guru and btw i remade the rule, so this can't be corrupted.

Seems like I had to check 'let apple host content' off. It all works now.

Should this be on when finally publishing to appstore?
