Android GS Viewer - issues with turning device to standby, then back on again

If I run my game in the Android GS Viewer (Game Salad 0.9.92, running on my Desire HD running Android 2.3.5), and switch the device off (standby), then back on, the game is already running (I can hear it) behind the lock screen. I can't see the game, but I can hear it, all the actors around moving around, and my character dies, for example. Without me even unlocking my Android lock screen.
Is this a known issue with the viewer?
The game should be frozen, shouldn't it? When on the lock screen, any apps running behind should all be frozen, I thought...?
Is this problem resolved by making an ad-hoc build?
If I turn the device to standby, then turn it back on, and unlock it to return to the game, and repeat that about 3 times, the game has all gone "white", as if the game has run out of memory, or something. All the graphics are gone, the only thing I can see is the score counter at the top left (I'm using Display Text there, so that still seems to work), but all the artwork has disappeared.
Is that also a known issue with the viewer? Does this all get resolved by making an ad-hoc build?
Thanks, just trying to get an idea if that's normal, and not something to get worried about, or not.
