Art file format and color maps? Why is my art being faded when published

Hi, I'm a first time game salad user.

I have an odd question.

My game looks fine on my computer and in preview mode, but when I publish it on GS Arcade half of the images end up being faded and in a different colormap.

I can't figure out exactly what is causing this. I tried saving the images with web optimized palettes and with default RGB palettes. I tried 72dpi as well as the original ~96dpi I was working in.

Here is a photshopped image ... you can see the original orange color (left half of the image) and then the faded yellow (right half) for comparison ...

I'm using gimp as my editing tool and the image is 480x320 exactly

Any advice?

hey i think i can help try making your art at 72dpi and at 960 by 640 then in gamesalad tick resolution independence then in gamesalad when you place the picture on the scene make sure the size is exactly 480 by 320

    hope i helped

i dont have the 'resolution independance' option since im publishing to online / GS Arcade but yes changing the 480x320 image to a 960x640 image fixed the background problem.

I guess I will also double up the size of my actors to fix them similarly.

    Thanks!
