How Does GameSalad Resize Images?

Hey there everyone,

I'm working on an app for a client right now, and I was just wondering how GameSalad resizes small images. Does it use Bicubic Resizing or Nearest Neighbor Resizing? Does this change when using Resolution Independence? Apologies if this is a basic question, but I have done some searching and couldn't find a direct answer. Any info you have would be appreciated!

I dont think GameSalad resizes anything. No matter what size the actor is its still displaying the full image inside that actor.

Maybe im not understanding the question.

Try to use the dba PNG inspector, and then drag the .png file into actors :)

@tenrdrmer: I was under the impression that GameSalad resized large images greater than the allotted size, given the platform selected within Creator. For example, if I were to drag in an image sized for the iPad into an iPhone project, GS would tell me it needs to be resized. GameSalad would then resize the image. My question is, when this resizing occurs, what method does GS use in the process - Bicubic Resizing or Nearest Neighbor Resizing?

Hope that makes more sense :)
