    I chose 8 bit purely for Sword & Sworcery. Man that game is beautiful.

    My app in submission at the moment is pixel art, has chip tune music and all that lovely stuff.

    I've never been a big fan of vector art, and I think with my next app I might give hand drawn a go, despite the headaches it will cause.

    @metzopiano
    I love hand-drawn when its done properly; I'm not an artist so it just annoys the hell out of me and I end up hiring someone

    I love pixel art - but with growing display size and ever larger game downloads it's nearly impossible to do a pixel art game properly (e.g. like Sword and Sworcery). In the end it usually boils down to time... and vector art is just faster to create when covering a wide range of devices, screen sizes and resolutions in a short period of time.

    With enough time / funding 3D rendered and photoshopped images work really well for a lot of games...

    I started with a strong like for vector graphics, then I rediscovered pixel art and from that moment my heart belonged to that form of art.

    I have 3 games in progress (well to be honest 2 of them still consist of rough sketches in my mind) that will be made in pixel art. :)

    1-bit vector graphics was my first love. Games like Space War, Lunar Lander, Asteroids, Tempest, the first Star Wars game, Battlezone, The Red Baron, all those games were sucking my pockets dry back in the day. Then pixel art games like Defender, Pac-man, Zaxxon, and into The NES/Sega era came out, and I fell in love with that. Now we have almost photorealistic 3D graphics, and I love playing those types of games most of all, because that's what I waited for my whole life.

    But most of the games I make personally, are modern vector art, and that's probably my favorite overall.

    I chose other because Pre-rendered 3D wasnt available.
    Does everyone remember FFVII? Remember the environments? they were beautiful. Another good example would be Chrono Cross and saga frontier. The environments were super high detailed high poly but pre-rendered to a flat image and placed in the game.

    Vector all the way. But I prefer painted vector art (think Dan Paladin / Castle Crashers)

    Of course I will love 8-bit, that is the only type of art that looks nicely for me! I really am terrible at vectors. I have always wanted to get better, but for now, 8 bit is good,

    I'm a big fan of hand painted digital art like what we saw from Bastion. That game just looked stunning! It's probably one of the more lengthy processes, especially if the aim is to reduce that tiled look in the levels but you always get that feeling the game is going to be something special
