Hello there,

I don't no if i should buy Pixelomator. Photoshop is no thing for me because it way to expensive. And Gimp is soo slow and laggy and have a ugly interface. Is there someone who tried pixelomator and know if you can do the basic stuff like writing make rectangles copy and paste etc? And is it more like iPhoto then Photoshop? :)

i have both this app. at the begin it is more easy to use pixelmator and it is a good alternative of photoshop. at the moment i prefer photoshop because it is more professional and you can do more things. if you don't want to buy photohsop, you will be satisfied buying pixelmator from the mac app store :)

Pixelmator is great for the price. I believe I'm still on Pixelmator 1.something....It is a great tool, go for it.

It's a shame Photoshop is so expensive, but it's well worth it IMHO. You don't have to upgrade every year, I used CS2 until just last year! Now I have CS4 and will probably keep that for some time to come. I find Photoshop/Illustrator invaluable.

@deadlights Yeah your probably right there but in fact you get free pixelmator updates from the mac Appstore. :)

@gameARN That's true, free updates are always a good thing lol. I would love to get a free update to CS5 or CS6 (fat chance!) :D

500 extra dollars to add 3d features and a little more? I use pixelmator and its fine for pretty much any kind of editing. A lot of stuff photoshop has that pixelmator doesn't can be simulated easily in pixelmator. I feel like pixelmator is WAY more worth your money.

Overall, I prefer Pixelmator over Photoshop. It's great for GameSalad development, which uses the RGBA color space.

Pixelmator is great, I much prefer it to Photoshop.

Also, Pixelmator is currently half price.

I would recommend PhotoLine, available for both Mac and PC. 59 Euro.
I've been using it for 4 years now. Fast and lost of features. No complaints.
