Viewer Update Problem-help!

(Trying to install the new gamesalad viewer on my iPod which is version IOS 5.1, I have Xcode 4.2 on my mac.
My device is not showing up on Xcode when I try to build the GS viewer.

This is the message I'm getting on the organizer.

The version of iOS on “Michelles’ iPod” does not match any of the versions of iOS supported for development with this installation of the iOS SDK. Please restore the device to a version of the OS listed below, or update to the latest version of the iOS SDK; which is available here.

OS Installed on Michelles iPod
5.1.1 (9B206)

Xcode Supported iOS Versions
Latest
5.0 (9A334)
4.3
4.2)

What should I do? If I rolled back my iPod would the new GS viewer still work?

Any help would be appreciated!

It’s not a bug – it’s an undocumented feature

You need Xcode 4.3.2 for iOS 5.1. Unfortunately, you need Lion OS running on your mac for Xcode 4.3.2 and can't get it for Snow Leopard. Just update your Xcode if you're running Lion, otherwise your options are to roll back to iOS 5 or update your mac to Lion if you don't already have it.

Are you running Snow Leopard? I seem to remember reading in another thread, Lion is free for Mac app store developers, so you may be able to get a free copy if you are. I updated to iOS 5.1 as well and stuck on Snow Leopard. I'd rather wait till Mountain Lion comes out next month to update, as I don't want to update twice. Now just testing with adhoc instead in the meantime, that's another option, though a bit more long-winded :-w
