I just made a soundtrack for my game, and would love some feedback!

Hello Everybody,
I am working on a new game called Color Down, and it is an intense, fast-paced game. It has a retro, techno feel, which inspired me to make this soundtrack...

I would love any type of feedback whether it be from a musician's standpoint or just your average joe. The ending is not all that amazing, but I tied it into the beginning so that I can loop it relatively seamlessly during the game. FYI, I used some basic beats from GarageBand, and the smooth, electric piano loop at the beginning, but that's it.
Thanks!

The_Gamesalad_Guru Posts: 9,922It sounds very good. I would suggest dropping in a base guitar with a rhythm that runs the length of the loop and is layered in the background. Having a solid continuos bass line is the key to any music.

The_Gamesalad_Guru Posts: 9,922Okay you picked the right bass line but it's a bit too pronounced. Add reverb to blend it into the mix and a dash of echo and then if it's still to pronounced lower it a bit in the mix. It should be in the background mostly heard in the Tweens of the mix. You're getting there though.

Hmmm... I can't think of anywhere that I've heard it. It might be the fact that the electric piano loop at the beginning is just a GarageBand loop, and anybody can use it. Aside from that, any specifics that you like or don't like?
Thanks for the feedback!

If I can do my art right, my plan is for it to be bright and colorful, yet intense at the same time.

@FryingBaconStudios, surprisingly, that slipped my mind. I think that that could really improve the song. Would you mind listening to the next version I make?
Thank you very much for your feedback and complements!

I just updated the file with a (mostly) continuous bass line that fluctuates with the song. The link is still the same. Please let me know if it sounds better/worst. I really appreciate all of your feedback!
