using the GS icon in my app

hey i have a question for the Gamesalad guys..

do you mind if i use the logo icon for an actor in my game?
nothing serious , it will act like a background, i like it!

Probably you can't. It's under copyright.

I agree...plus Apple is famous for rejecting apps that have copyright logos in them. Hate to see you build a game just to have it rejected by Apple.

Word of advice...make your own graphics.

The logo on the screen is pushed by the game engine...has nothing to do with the game content.

I recommend NOT doing it...no matter how "cute" you might think it is.

Companies usually want to keep tight control over their identity system components, of which the logo is usually the biggest part. I don't think it would be cool at all to use their logo in your game. They have control over the logo on the load screen, as is their prerogative.

I'm sure they don't have an issue with the way you modified their logo for your avatar on this forum, but if you did anything like that in your game, they would not be pleased.

Please do not use the logo. We have had one person make a tool for the multitouch coordinates and other things and the GameSalad name and logo were used. We asked him nicely to remove those and resubmit, and it was done.

NOPE...leave it be. You can thank them by name...just don't use the logo.
