Hi guys,

Sorry for posting this, but I'm kinda stuck.

I've downloaded the Windows GameSalad, its installed ok, but unfortunately crashes as soon as I launch the software? it doesn't even get to the loading screen before it crashes out.
I had to download the new framework when prompted, and unfortunately it still doesn't load?

Has anyone else come across this error (I know there have been quite a few posts regarding windows bugs, however I've not noticed anyone with this issue).

I would love it if someone could help me with this (maybe you've also had the same issue??) as I can't wait to get cracking with it on my PC.

Cheers,

Chris

Ah, it looks like GS PC isn't supported (yet) on Windows XP - darn it.

Fingers crossed that it will soon.

    Cheers,

    Chris

I think saying "yet" is wrong. It doesn't work on XP and likely never will, considering the framework it appears to be using. Best to update your OS to Windows 7.

Ya, windows px is no longer supported by Microsoft, I don't see GS supporting it ever.

I am also having this same problem and I found in the %appdata% there are some files its creating about a application crash error. I kind of have a feeling it has to do with a program running that is making it crash or such idk just a guess but i certainly hope this gets fixed soon cuz i would like to start developing on windows cuz mac is just a pain in the ass

I've downloaded the installer, installed GS with all the prerequisites required.

It installed fine but when I tried to launch it there's nothing happening. Not even an error message.

The taskmanager shows a very brief instance of GS launching and disappearing.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.

Same here, tried gamesalad for windows beta on windows 7. Does not start up and i get a error message every time. Running Gamesalad in a VM running mac osx works fine but a bit of a detour.... guess i'll have to wait for an update.

you do know that trying to troubleshoot an error message without seeing the message is near impossible? :)

If you are having problems, please post a screenshot of the error.

Same problem, installed everything, did windows update.
Windows 7 x64 bit - tries to load and crashes.
Are you running windows x64 bits?
We need a new beta ASAP

Of course this is a debug and it has all sorts of nulls and wierd characters. There are also other files in which are more legible. They start with au_as_***:
