A game for Black Metal fans

BLACK METAL MAN

So while i`m working on som bigger projects, I got this idea, and discovered there are a lack of games for metal fans on the appstore. So i rigged up my guitar and bass, made some brutal music, and made a game with a black metal dude that has to escape from the light. Endless runners are nothing new, but I think the consept and the stressfull music makes this unique and absurd.

Will release it pretty soon (within a month). Any thoughts before I release it? Would love to hear from you guys :)

    EDIT: How about more power ups based on bands/band members? Like a James Hetfield... errr... beard. Or something.

    Thanx, the Matallica referance is cool... mabye a "Ride The lightning" power up hehe. But Metallica is a dangerous band to play with, they sue people for nothing :) But i might take the chance :) The video is recorded with Snapz Pro, and edited in After Effects.

    You could have a lot of fun with this one.

    Yeah a ride the lightning power up would be good - where you actually stand astride a bolt of lightning.

    Marilyn Manson as a boss? On his funny stage stilts - circa Antichrist Superstar

    Collect 'Iron Maidens' (female figurines made of metal) as currency.

    Lemmy as a smart bomb? He shows up on a Harley and blitzes the screen with ...err playing cards (ace of spades).

    Manowar style 'machine gun' guitar.

    An AC/DC power up where.... you are forced to wear the same clothes for 35 years. Haha.

    But yeah, you might have to change the spelling of some names? Not sure what the latest app store guidelines are regarding parodies.

    Thanx i will, add more powerups with fun referances. and polish everything. Im also trying out Indiegogo for found raising. It`s much like Kickstarter, but available for people outside of the US. (since I´m in norway). Indegogo

    Ok... so i finaly added some more levels, more powerups, more music and Game center. Final testing this weekend, befor sending it to appstore. Will also make a new video with the new material.

    I'm stoked on this. After discovering the world of 8bit death metal songs all over youtube, it seeded the hope to one day develop a sort of Castlevania homage with a super brutal soundtrack. Good luck on the launch man!

    Thanx guys... I have polished the graphics a bit, and sent the game to apple 2 days ago. Waiting for review now :) Since there are no other games that i know of who focus on this theme, im going to charge 0.99$ for this, and focus a bit on marketing on metal music facebook pages and forums. I will post a new and much more intense video soon.

    Hope it passes the apple censour. The man is beeing decapitated when he dies, and there are some anti religious themes and stuff. Do you think this will be a problem?

    Never can predict how the Apple review process will go. But as long as you gave it at least a 12+ rating or higher it will probably be ok.
