IAP Problem Can't solve

greglevygreglevy Member, PRO Posts: 85
Hi

When my app is in Adhoc mode I get the InApp Purchase error: "product identifier was not recognized: nameofIAP". Any ideas what I can look for?

Thanks
Greg

    post an image of your IAP behavior and your iTunes connect setup for it. My guess is that it does not pick up the name of the ID from the behavior. Are you using a table for it or did you manually typed it?

    Problem Solved!

    First I would like to thank Braydon_SFX for all of his help and problem solving.

    My main problem was that I was trying to add IAP to a free app that I had up for over a year. So what we did was to start a new app and add IAP exactly like Gamesalad shows in the tutorial down to the name of the IAP. Then we tested id adhoc and worked fine then on to the app store where it is waiting for review.

    Did it finally work?
    I think you have to make the "Product Identifier" the same as the "Bundle ID"?
    Let me know if you get it to work.
    I'm still waiting for Apple to approve mine, so I can't be sure.

    The product identifier can be anything, not necessarily the same as the bundle ID. Although, it would also work if it was the same as the bundle ID.

    Are you sure about that Chobbiface? Because in my app it didn't work. I read a few forum posts by people with the same problem.... and they said to make the product identifier the same as the bundle ID...I resubmitted it to Apple this way, but it's still in the queue.

    @iKandy

    Yes 100%. I've submitted several apps with IAP working. The other thing is, the product identifier must be unique. Imagine you have 20 consumable IAPs in a game e.g. buying different ammo/bullets etc. They all need a unique product identifier to distinguish between them - they cannot all be the bundle ID.

    Maybe check in the rules you've got the exact same product identifier correct.
