Gamesalad and Windows 8 problems

Hey everyone,

I'm unable to run Gamesalad in Windows 8. When I run GS I just get empty windows and on top it says "My Great Project" and loading wheel just keeps spinning. Tried running it as an Admin same results. Anyone else have this issue with Windows 8?

Going to try reinstalling it to see if it solves the problem.

Thanks
Stan

Wow, there even is Windows 8? I'm delayed about PC computers - my evolution has stopped on Vista, but I heard about Windows 7 :)

@Stan- View the GS Windows FAQ for information on min. specs: http://gamesalad.com/windows/faq

"GameSalad Creator for Windows is currently supported on Windows 7 and Windows Vista. 2GB of RAM required and 4GB of RAM is recommended."

    i7 with 12GB Ram

Win8 is still in beta(or Alpha?)

On the other hand @SSS does gamesalad supports mt lion? It works fine on my computer

@calvin9403 W8 is in Consumer Preview (Beta) which mean its pretty much what its going to be like at the release later on this fall. Only reason I installed W8 is to play around with Visual Studio 11 and makes apps for Metro.

It probably isn't a good use of their time to QA and test against a moving target like Windows 8...some things will be different when released, even if small. I feel your pain since W8 what I'm running on my Mac (VM).

Having used W8, I hope Gamesalad supports Metro apps at some point because I think the Windows 8 tablets will be huge.

    Hi guys,
Just experienced the same issue, no compatibly mode works. this is the first app i have had an issue with on windows 8.

By the way, Windows 8 Consumer Preview is actually a release candidate not a beta. I had the same thought to (software developer) but it looks like Microsoft has changed their wordings to a more user friendly version. There will be no RC or Beta other than what has been released.

So if i were you I'd be looking at it now. even if its just a beta build its worth having it ready for when the release comes out. If i can help test let me know
