I just completed this online tutorial using Adobe Illustrator and I was able to make this logo for my business. Let me know what you think:

    Hi mate looks alright,
But I reckon the colours don't really match,
the "L" in Play is odd
    the fonts don't match..

    just odd but OK.

When I think of a logo, I think of super elegant, simple, and very little writing. Yours doesn't match my interpretation of a good logo. Just my opinion.

With that said, I do like the theme of your logo with the culture play and an attempt at some colors.

@brendanzh926 I wanted to distinguish between the words culture and play that why created a difference between the two fonts. Perhaps it's too much of a difference. As for the colors...that's a work in progress, and definitely a weakness for me. The blur in the 'L' is supposed to give a bit of 3D distance, as if the L is further back...but I guess that's not working.

@jckmcgraw maybe logo is not the right term...perhaps it's more of a banner for my website.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep working!

The L is just too blurry for me. I also think the green background is too simple. If you want to keep it simple, you should add a bit more "spots" and sections to it.

@patapple I changed the L to blue...what do you think?
@jckmcgraw I removed the blur from the L

    Hi mate,
I always learnt that when making logos and business stuff - always use font that is simple, easy to read..

Your "culture" is not a good font to use for business type matters, and just does not look good.. imo

The main focus is the writing... I think there should be a little more focus on an actual logo.

Have a little definition to your logo. Right now it seems pretty hay wire.. U should work on something that looks stable, defined and accessible, however presented. Refine your thoughts.
