Totally Sci-fi. You could use a wrap x,y and/or a particle emitter for star dust or astroids.

Good start... Needs a little action along with the moving space.

I think you're on the right track as far as theming is concerned :)

However, like @LeonardDeveloper said, there could be some minor improvements.
It's a great idea to have the background moving, and, like @RP mentioned, I think it would be cool if you added space dust and asteroids. Maybe even have a distant sun or planet :) I would, however, give the background a little more contrast, giving it a bit of gradient to enhance the effect. Maybe even try and see what it looks like with a blue hue rather than purple.

Apart from that, the title probably needs to be spiced up a bit - make it exciting and memorable. If you take a look at the Dark Nebula title, you'll see it has a coolness about it, a sense of epicness that draws people in. Even the name of "Dark Nebula" itself is attractive - it implies a mysterious science-fictiony element that gives a professional aspect all in itself.

I'd try rename "Ball Adventure" as something that gives off more of a sleek, science-fiction vibe.

Lastly, and this is just a little thing, you may want to change the "option" bit to "options" - which is far more common in menus. It all comes down to details :)

Anyway, hope this has helped in someway.
All the best with your game! :D

My opinion when you ask "is this good?" you yourself know it's not. Listen to your instincts and work it until you yourself know it's good. @moonmouse very nice rendering!

Hahah thanks @FlyingBaconStudios! But I think you mean 'very nice Googling' :P
Didn't make the image, just found it on good ol' google images as an example because @sahal.rahal mentioned he wanted to make a game like Dark Nebula :D

    Teehee!

I agree though, if you gotta ask whether something is good or not, you already know the answer.
