Hi, GS dudes.
I have launched Lite version of 3 Apps, and all of them are rejected. The Lite versions have less contents. It was ok 2 months ago at least, but I think that Apple has changed their policy. Anyone have same experience with me?

@mynameisace There are too many reason. Long story. I will post them later.
But if there is lots of reasons for the rejections you need to actually fixe those issues. Not just resubmit and claim they are rejecting cause it's a lite version.

@jonmulcahy Ok, it would be long, but I will post them here.

Reasons for Rejection:
10.6: Apple and our customers place a high value on simple, refined, creative, well thought through interfaces. They take more work but are worth it. Apple sets a high bar. If your user interface is complex or less than very good it may be rejected

We found the user interface of your app is not of sufficient quality to be appropriate for the App Store. Apps that provide a poor user experience are not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.
Specifically, it would be appropriate to add more native/interactive iOS functionality to your application.
Please evaluate whether you can make the necessary revisions to improve the user experience of your app.
Alternatively, you may wish to consider building a web app using HTML5. HTML5 is the major new version of HTML and enables audio and video to play natively in the browser without requiring proprietary plug-ins. Using HTML5, web apps look and behave like native iPhone and iPad apps, and using HTML5's Offline Application Cache, your web apps work even when the device is offline. With web apps, you have flexibility to deliver as much or as little functionality as you desire.
If you wish to build an HTML5 web app, you can do so and distribute it directly from your web site. It is not appropriate to submit an HTML5 web app to the App Store.

Reasons for Rejection:
2.12: Apps that are not very useful, are simply web sites bundled as apps, or do not provide any lasting entertainment value may be rejected

2.12
We found that the features and/or content of your app were not useful or entertaining enough, or your app did not appeal to a broad enough audience, to be in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.
For example, your app includes a very limited set of features.
We understand that there are no hard and fast rules to define this but it can be helpful to look at the apps featured on the App Store to get a feel for the type of experience our users expect.
We encourage you to review your app concept and evaluate whether you can incorporate different content and features that are in compliance with the Guidelines.

Binary Rejected Apr 20, 2012 04:17 PM
Reasons for Rejection:
2.9: Apps that are “beta”, “demo”, “trial”, or “test” versions will be rejected
Apr 20, 2012 04:17 PM. From Apple.
2.9
We found that your app appears to be a pre-release, test, or trial version with a very limited feature set. Apps that are in beta form, or that are for demonstration or trial purposes only, are not appropriate for the App Store and are not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.
Specifically, your app displays buttons for features that are only available in the full version. Please refer to the attached screenshots for more information.
It would be appropriate to complete, remove, or fully configure any partially implemented features.
Rather than providing a lite or trial version, you may wish to use In App Purchase to provide access to purchasing additional application features. Rather than requiring users to find, purchase, and download your other application from the App Store, In App Purchase provides a seamless, in app purchasing experience for your users, and an improved selling experience for you.

Lite Versions ARE allowed, what apple have basically said is what you've put through the app store looks like a "beta" version of an app... read it again careful Cheers,

It would be free for 3 days from now on. If it is not free, be patient for a while please. It might be on processing. The Lite version is allowed only 3 objects. The other ones are locked. Thanks.

hmm did you call it "I-magician lite" ?
@LeonardDeveloper Yes, I named it. As I have seen many apps on App Sotre has name "Lite".
Well, Then the problem is purely lack of features... you need to revise you're app again and add more to it in some areas and less to it in others..
I would highly recommend reading this: http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/42132/tips-tricks-statistics-for-making-a-lite-full-version-of-your-app#Item_12

Next the last one clearly states you cannot have buttons in your game that do not function. You have to take any reference to the disable stuff out and just list off the things the full version have in it. And again with the blunt honesty. With nothing much being there to begin with I really do not recommend removing anything. At the very least the version on the store now needs to be your lite version and you need to add a ton more to to your paid versions.
Sorry to be the one to say it. and I mean no disrespect at all but thats in a nut shell what I think apple is telling you.

I would say call this app a learning experience and move on... you won't make a dime from it sorry.
Whatever you do, don't buy the pro version of GS for this app alone.
I think it's just time to move on...
Get yourself a server, website, or just a simple webpage, html or xml that you can put a flag on it :
<xml>
<in_review>true</in_review>
</xml>
When the app is under review, set "in_review" flag to true, which your app will read from and provide all the features.
After the review is approved, set it to false, which your app will read and provide your limited features.
You can even put a try catch block saying if the server is shut down or user is not connecting to network, the default behavior is "false".
Wouldn't Apple get very upset if they found out about this technique ?
cheers.
