I really like it - reminds me of an old toy I used to have!
I was better at it back in those days!
It's a little hard to steer, but as I said, I like it!
Thanks for the code!

Thanks for the support guys.
but
I feel kinda foolish that I gave out 20 plus promo codes to people in the UK who have no chance of downloading because they don't have a US itunes account, is there any way around this because it's unfair on people outside of the US. How are we supposed to promote our games in Europe??
Will review this evening. Best of luck!
I haven't found a way around it yet. It's somewhat fustrating.

Hope the sales pick up for you!
A suggestion might be...
Rebuild the exact same game with non-retro styling...but modernize the graphics (looks like you have plenty of skills in that dept.) for the "cool kids". Perhaps its sales will do better...and the work would be limited on your part to release such a "DeLuxe Version". Then make the retro racer free and advertise your DeLuxe model (same game...just different graphics and a few more FX elements) within the retro model. The freebie version will probably get 10s of thousands of downloads...cheapest advertising you can buy for your D-Lux version. Then if they like your gameplay...the sexier styling might get more attention...and $$$ downloads.
Also make sure the game is "deep"...so that it doesn't get stale too quick. Build in difficulty modes and/or different course maps...etc. to allow the player to explore the game more. Swapping backgrounds, HUD skins, car types, and such are the easiest way to expand a game and give it depth...without building a lot of logic into...mostly just graphics work.
Good luck with it! I think you have a great looking game there (on the surface...I haven't actually played it...just admired it from afar).
You speak words of wisdom and have a good game plan (no pun intended). I will one day do as you say time permitting of course, curse the day job!!!!
