Is there any downside to doing an early update

I feel like I read a forum in which someone lamented about doing an update early on and it messed up their new release position or something. I searched and couldn't find the thread. My new game Doodle Spin (see http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=4184) is now up on the iTunes store, but not listed yet in new releases. Its date is March 6th and as of this morning they were still just showing March 5th.

I have an update ready to go is there any reason to wait? Does it mess up release dates or anything?

    I don't think it would given that updates don't play with placement anymore but seeing as how you are yet to show, maybe just wait until you are showing before updating to be safe. That is my take.

    Apple is just a few days behind on their new releases.

    Anybody know if I risk anything with that by doing an update now?

    I would agree with rebump, it shouldn't affect you, but with apple you never know... If I were you honestly, I'd wait till its posting the 7th before you submit an update.

    Or you could update ASAP and take one for the team and report back! ;-)
