Android Tablets *Only*?

I have a game I built in Game Salad for iPad, is there any way to limit the .apk when publishing to Android to only work on tablet devices? The game wasn't built to be used on a small screen and doesn't look good scaled down. :-/

Thanks!

I've wondered the same thing. In looking at the devices that seem to be compatible with my iPad App- shrunk to Kindle size....it is a huge list. Over 1800 devices if I recall correctly.

I worried about it, then decided....there are 1800 devices, so I figure these people ought to know what works and doesn't based on how their version and screen size/resolution scales stuff.

Hi, I'm pretty sure when you upload your app to Google Play you can manually exclude devices.

    Hi Brenden,

Yes you can manually exclude things on Google Play, but I'd prefer not to have to manually exclude hundreds of Android devices. :P

I don't see an option to exclude devices on Amazon's Market though.

Amazon when you create the app you have to choose tablet, phone, or Table & Phone

I have it marked as Tablet, but people on phones can still install the game and play. :-/

I have a similar question, so I'll keep it to this thread even though it's old. Is there a way to exclude old phones that will run the game horribly? Just as you can exclude processors in iOs?

If you make an android app elsewhere, you can exclude things like resolution in a manifest. ..

It seems that there is SOME Of this in GS, because it does that for the touch/multitouch selection. Maybe this is a feature they need to add?

Try reading the developer info on Google play and Amazon instead of waiting for someone to do it for you.
