Uploading Amazon Store Binary - how?

DigiChainDigiChain Member, PRO Posts: 1,288
My app package is larger than 30mb so I need to upload using FTP.

According to Amazon I therefore need to upload to dar.amazon-digital-ftp.com.
I'm assuming I reach this by putting ftp:// before that address?...

Once I have done that and logged in with my Amazon ftp username/password, a window opens which contains nothing. Is this the FTP space I'm supposed to use?... and if so, when I try to drop the apk file into it it won't copy accross.

Once again this is so confusing!

Can anyone give me a clue?

EDIT:
Ok sorted. I was able to upload the apk on my PC - but for some reason not on Mac!

    Hey there,

    I haven't had to upload via FTP yet, but I would recommend using an FTP client instead of your browser (if that's what you're using). Personally, I use FileZilla for all my FTP needs. You can download it for free over at downloads.com. See this link for more info. Hope that helps!

    Hey guys, anyone else have any luck with uploading files over 30 mb's? I tried connecting to the FTP link Amazon gives you, and no luck on a macintosh, and I don't have a PC!

    I also downloaded File Zilla, and I can't figure out how to use it...

    Any help is appreciated!

    @butterbean
    it's been awhile, but I did use the FTP back in jan. I used Trasmit by Panic to upload the files, are you getting an error?

    @jonmulcahy: I was able to get ahold of a PC yesterday, and uploaded it just fine - I tried 3 different web browsers using the Mac, and no luck, the page didn't display correctly - I didn't bother too much with File Zilla - at any rate, I got it uploaded now, thanks for your help!
