Rejected because of advertisement.

Hi, GS dudes.
I have uploaded my apps on App Store, and they are rejected. App reviewer said as below.

"People use your application to get things done or to be entertained; they don’t want to feel as if they’re being forced to watch an advertisement."

"In iOS 4.0 and later, you can allow advertisements to display within your application and you can receive revenue when users see or interact with them. It’s essential that you plan when and how to integrate ads with your UI so that people are motivated to view them without being distracted from your application."

"It would be appropriate to remove the forced advertising and upload your new binary to iTunes Connect. If you wish to deliver ads to your users, consider offering passive advertising; paying customers typically expect advertising-free content."

This means that the GS free user can not sell any apps on App store. And this means GS free user only can practice, not publishing. Have you ever experienced like me? If GS has said that free version also can publish on App Store, they need remove the advertisement. What is your opinion?

    Yeah I have just tried publishing my game twice over the last few weeks, and it has been rejected both times due to that very same reason. I am frustrated about it, it sucks....

    I could figure it out to downgrade to GS 9.0 version. BTW, GS staff need to know that Apple don't allow the forced advertisement. We need to act something, but how?

    okay, so Apple rejects GS games when they're PlayHaven enabled. What if we're Pro, and we disable Playhaven? Since the Playhaven code still exists in the final build (although not activated), will Apple also reject us?

    if this is the case, it's bad for all of us.

    @tshirtbooth Hi, I think the way of version 0.90 is much better. It shows "Powered by Gamesalad" and then just go to main game. I am also do not like the way of Apple, but we need to follow them as they are "Boss". haha. Please fix it again when you upgrade GS. I love GS, this is awsome tool to develop an app easily.
    I can not afford to purchase pro version now, but will get it when I make some money with my apps. Thanks for your instruction video and hope we will be able to win win in the future.

    no if you have playhaven disable your fine, and its any app weather its free or paid. Its not that your paying for it that its getting rejected for, its that you have to press a button on the ad to actually get to the game

    Tshirt doesnt work for gamesalad, nor do I. Were regular members like you guys, except were volunteer moderators as well. So theres nothing him or I can do personally about this. Were all in the same boat, we just have to wait and see what the guys at gamesalad do.

    @bazookaBen My free version was also rejected. But it was different reason. About quality whatever.. I am figuring it out too.

    @JohnPapimits Really? I have thought that he is one of the main staff. As his presentation is so perfect. Although he is not a staff, we can talk about it to them. GS will lose many members if they don't fix it as many free members can't publish their game anymore.

    So if I downgrade to 9.90 will I lose the tables? I have a few games that use tables and I don't want the information gone.

    Correct, if you downgrade to a version that doesnt have tables, you will lose them from your games.

    Yes he is not part of the main staff, he is a moderator like me. And no ones saying you cant talk to him about it, im just saying asking him to do somethign about it isnt going to do anyting, as he cant, nor can i, nor can you.

    SEPERATE ISSUE BUT THREADS MERGED

    Dear All,
    I'm really annoyed at the moment!, Enfuriated!... Its not GameSalad's fault but its play haven's My app got rejected this morning, Just simply because I had play haven.. This is unacceptable! How can we have an SDK where our apps just get rejected because of PH.... I don't know what to do.. I was really looking forward to getting my app published and to submit it into the march game of the month contest.. But Now it looks like that won't be happening..
    I honestly don't know where to go from here and would really appreciate some advice..
    or at least a comment from @laurensalad or @saladstraightshooter telling me where to go from here...
    I want you guys to know that Im not blaming GameSalad I completely understand why Gs chose play haven... I'm just mad at PlayHaven directly.. I hope this issue gets sorted out...


    Im also very unhappy about the ads that showed up in my game.... Its a kids style ninja game.. and ads for "Crime City" are coming up...

    @poopdecksweeper .... incorrect ... 9.90 has tables .. just published a word game (letter Lynx) with 9.90 - tables and no playhaven!

    I said that to apple, but actually over the weekend they changed they're rules on UDID's and I think play haven collects data like UDID's and therefore.. Now it is a certified reason for rejection...

    @uptimistik We'll see ;) Its been banging around in my boots for a while now.. Maybe shortly ill look into buying a pro license..

    Your options are to downgrade, wait and see what happens between gs and playhaven, or try to resubmit and see what happens.

    Wow, seems like we have been reading about this for 2 or 3 weeks now.
    Seems like no one was in a hurry to fix this? GS, Playhaven or Apple?
    Solution either use Pro or downgrade to .90

    Weighing in here. I'm pro and I disabled both Playhaven and Kiip on my app. Submitted to apple 2 weeks ago. A week after that received similar email as was mentioned by @gawakamy and app was rejected.

    Why was it rejected when I had it turned off? The Appstore reviewer obviously didn't even start the game up. He just ran through a binary checker and spotted Playhaven and BAM! a red flag. They simply got the app rejected without further need to run through the gameplay.

    I found this thread quite late. And now 2 weeks on my app is still waiting for review. I guess it will AGAIN be rejected. Also last week I had submitted a slew of updates on several games which I think will ALSO be rejected even though I had Playhaven disabled.

    Downgrade to 0.90??

    Thanks for the response @SaladStraightShooter I hope it won't be in the binary at all because I did recompile exactly 8 days ago and resubmitted it. I will update this thread again if I receive another rejection email from the appstore reviewer.

    @izam looking forward to your approved submission. I'm Pro and going to disable PlayHaven, but if apple rejects it by looking at the binary that sucks for everybody.

    edit: @SaladStraightShooter it's awesome that PH doesn't show up in the binary anymore
