Finally the long wait is now over! Phew

Star Serum is live on the appstore! Woo

*Strike back against the Arcon Allegiance in this epic Space Opera!*

They're dead… they're all dead…

You awake as if from a dream. Images flash before your eyes, splinters in your mind, unclear, inaccessible, but for a few fragments..

A space battle above Iridis Alpha… the black void bursting with colour from laser blasts and forceful explosions… a fierce ground assault on the planet below...

And your squad… all dead… because of you...

Then nothingness…

Until now.

You awake in a medical facility, tubes running from machinery keeping you alive.

One nurse is your guide on your journey back from the brink of death. She tends to your wounds to rebuild you, for the sake of the Cine people in this long, bitter war against the Allegiance…

Before you can once again fly into the fray, she helps you regain the skills you lost to amnesia...

Step by step she restores you to your former war-hero glory, as you regain your laser sword skills against flying drones; manoeuvre through asteroid fields in your starship; use your mind as a weapon and increase your telekinetic power…

Each stage provides a challenge, and when you're ready, you'll be sent on your final most perilous mission: to return to Iridis Alpha and recover the Star Serum!

In the hands of the enemy it can be used as a terrible weapon. In your hands, it can lead to immortality...

This is your last chance for vengeance. This is your last chance for VICTORY!

* Five distinct game modes - easy to pick up - hard to put down!

@tatiang ... Thank you very much for your kind words.

@Braydon_SFX ... I plan on releasing for Kindle Fire, i dont think it would run well enough on others. I have to change a couple of things with the lightsaber section as the Fire struggles a little bit. I should submit it by the weekend with a bit of luck :)

@redsky, cheers, it was a long project.

@mmzbr, thanks for pointing that out, took a right bashing, fair play to the people in the comments section that 'stuck up' for me.

@mmzbr - I see where he is coming from but then i see where all the posters who commented on it were coming from also and it was nice they kind of went against the reviewer. Thanks for buying and I'm glad you like the game.

@HoneyTribeStudios - This is so true. I've been releasing games on the appstore for a couple of years now, i've realised you need to have thick skin if you want to do this :)

@beefy_clyro -Think i've discovery a bug. I just played fine last night but now the game seems get in loop on initial screen, the nurse stop keeps running in loop and game never starts. I'm tried use the reset function in options menu but didn't fixed it. I'm recording a video for you.

    My Specs:
    Iphone 4
    IOS 5.0.1

@mmzbr ... Hmm how strange. It was tested lots and never got stuck in this loop. When you hit play and see the 1st comic part story, once you get to the end it saves an attribute to say this has been shown, the next time you play it loads this attribute should skip this once you hit play and go straight to menu.

I'll be interested to see the video. Sorry you're having problems. Could you try removing it from your phone, restarting your phone and then once back up, redownloading (it'll be free as already purchased) and see if it still loops?

    Cheers

@mmzbr - That is NOT a bug, that is exactly what it is supposed to do. 3 parts of story are shown throughout the game, if you skip through not reading it, you may want to go back and read it in your own time, that is the purpose of that story section on the menu.
You are supposed to do all the training modules (that is the main aim of the game), once you have completed all 4, story 2 will be shown automatically and then you can play the Final Battle from the main menu. Once Final battle is completed story 3 will show and you have completed the game.
Then if you want a recap again, you can go to Story from the menu and go back through each part and go through the 3 stories reminding yourself of what happened.

    Hi Keith,

I think I understand where mmbzr is coming from. Many gamers are now used to choosing a story mode (also known as campaign mode) from the main menu which would initiate the game proper from beginning to end. Perhaps a good way of avoiding such confusion would be to put the 'Story' icon to the far right of the others, or have it labeled as 'Cut Scenes', and place it within the 'Unlocks' menu. Just my two cents buddy, ;). Congrats on the release!

Are you planning to move the distance and fuel actors on the spaceship tutorial screen to a non-scrollable layer so that they always show up (even when turning the ship)? My initial impression is that the tutorial levels are too long. Getting 150 points or 150 distance takes me long enough that I get tired of playing the tutorial level. I think I just expect a quick "here's how it works, now on to the main game." It could just be my expectations are off... ;)

    Hey Basil.

I may well look into moving that as i can see the confusion, typically it'd be called Campaign and thats where the user would expect to play.
I may just rename story to cut scenes.

    Cheers

@tatiang Nope not planning on that as its not as simple as that. When you move, the camera rotates which moves the hud elements out of line. I tried counteracting the positioning but it doesn't look smooth unless the icons are slap bang in the middle of the screen. Therefore, the solution was to hide it when moving sideways.
As for the score and distance needed to travel, i debated making them shorter but you need to remember, those 2 sections are half the game in effect. There is no real tutorial (that is the nurse talking at the start of the level), the training is actually the main game. You complete the 4 different training games, the next 2 are like tiki totem style and angry birds style, then you get to play the final battle which is the top down shooter.

    Cheers
